Post-critic Reflection: Project 2

After the class critique of project 2 (emotion) I feel as though this assignment was fairly difficult for the class to capture.  When researching my emotion (wonder) I found that all the pictures that expressed wonder well were pictures in which the subject matter made the picture wondrous. For this assignment we were to try and use color to help enhance the emotion and I feel that people, including myself, may have gotten caught up with the subject matter of the photo.

I was pleased with the way that the class interpreted my photos of wonder.  While shooting most of my pictures I tried to focus on light and playing with different ways that the camera can capture light; I also had a few that were using bright colors.  I’m pleased with the way the photos turned out, but I wish in shooting that I would have experimented with lots of bright colors more.  The one photo that I chose to print that was with very bright colors came out well, and the class had a positive reaction to it.  Looking back on the assignment focusing more on the color and less on the content might have been a better way to go about capturing the emoting.
