Project 1 Ideas: The Closeup

A large focus on project one was what would be the subject matter?  I chose to shoot things that were outside.  Personally I love being outside and enjoy observing nature as it is, so this is what i tried to do for the most part when shooting this project.  I really like the way that water and ice plays with light.  I also tried to shoot objects that had interesting textures because this really shows up in the close up.  Another aspect that I wanted to show in my photos what the use of strong lines.  Lines that really took the viewers eye and took it across the photo.

I wanted to shoot these photos in color. I have always liked colored photography because it tells more of the story and when shooting it gives you a lot more to think about and play with.  Walking out on the street and finding things as they are is a lot of the fun and challenge.  Working with the variables that are on the streets make the photos more interesting.  I don’t like manipulating the photographs too much, but adding something to the photo is sometimes necessary and can add a lot to the picture.  Only in one of my photos did I add something to the picture.
